Aw, so cute! How hard are those metal frames to put in? I've always wanted to try, but secretly I'm scared of them being uber complicated  Embarrassed

Ditto on Mochaxlight's question, and what is the size of this bag.  It's really cute.

That looks nice. Is it weird that when I saw your second pic that I thought the purse look like some type of alien/monster with its mouth open? Cheesy

That is super cool!  Now, where did you get that metal frame?  I've seen them at Hancocks fabric stores, but they are so expensive.  I wonder if there is a place you can buy several for a better price?

I like all your metal framed purses, but this one is the best - love the boxed bottom. Did the fabri-tac glue work? If not, can I ask what you are using?

Oh wow, I think this is my new favourite.  I love the shape, and the fabric knocked my socks off!

I used the tutorial here: http://u-handbag.typepad.com/uhandblog/2006/12/purse_frames_de.html, to make my bags.  It isn't too hard to use the frames, its mostly making sure that you measure everything really carefully so the bag fits into the frame.  Once you sew one, it gets a lot easier, especially if you use the same pattern. Smiley

Right now, I get my frames at a local store in Toronto, called "The Workroom."

And the length of the metal frame is 20 centimeters, and it is about 17 centimeters tall.

Also, I'm still using the fabri-tac glue, and it seems to be working pretty well.
