My first craft show is next month, and I've made a lot of french beaded charms and little things, but I started missing doing actual flowers. I'm trying to keep everything small and affordable, but still uniquely me, so I decided to make a series of mini potted flowers, one for each of the zodiac signs. Here's what I've made so far:

Taurus: light blue violets, 3 1/2 inches tall

Aries: rich red tulip, 5 in. tall

Libra: bright pink (it's brighter than the picture looks) cyclamen, 5 in tall

I also made one tiny christmas tree. It took forever to make, so I don't think it's worth it to make another. I'm thinking about making a little tree skirt because I'm not in love with the pot. It's 4 inches tall and much prettier than the picture shows. It's made with silver lined green beads, so it's extra sparkly and festive.

What do you think? I do intend to make flowers for the rest of the zodiac signs, so keep an eye out for those! I'll post again when I've made at least 3 more.

Well done. From the thumbnail I thought it was a miniature African Violet. I used to have some. They are very pretty. I looking forward to seeing what flower you do for Cancer.

I did model the first flowers after african violets specifically. They're such a cute little plant. Smiley I should be starting work on Cancer soon. Wink

I like the chrsitmas tree. It almost seems to glow from within... so good lighting! They are all so lovely though. Just such beautiful things... where will you keep them? Display them? I window box?

These are made specifically for the craft show I'm doing next month.  Ironically, I rarely make french beaded flower stuff for myself Tongue
