Couldn't you just find a sweater pattern and graph the letter?

There's a pattern for a baby's letterman jacket in the new January 2009 "CROCHET!" magazine!  You didn't say what size you were looking for.

To see a picture, go to:  www.crochetmagazine.com

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

Here's a link to a 1940-1950ish sweater pattern you can use in junction with a graphed letter. It also shows you how to size up the garment, too! This site also contains great patterns from that era.
