My brother is soo hard to ship for, so i decided I really want to make him a beanie (snowboard/skateboard hat) for Christmas with a car label on it.

Does anyone know how to graph on a beanie? I am totally clueless and have never graphed before. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Ok well the first thing i would do if i were you is find a simple graphed dishcloth or something flat, if you have never made anything that is graphed you'll have to start there.
Once you understand the basics of making something from a graph, then I would suggest learning how to make a chart pattern of a simple beanie, with circles and symbols and such to have visual pattern. You can find examples of what im talking about if you look for amigurumi patterns or japanese patterns.
Then I would take the chart pattern you made of the simple beanie and color in where your color changes have to be in order to get the logo that you want.
If you're still unsure, ill try to find links or draw something up for u.

This same method can work if you want to do a print? Like a repeated heart print for a scraf? There's an episode you can access on diy network that gives written instruction on graphing on beanies. (Link given below) I'm not sure how clear and easy they are as I have never graphed anything myself.
