I made these socks using Lion Brand Magic Stripe in Jellybean, and a pattern from The Knitters Handy Book of Patterns.  I love how the stripes turned out!

Those socks ROCK!! I need to get myself some of this yarn.  Did you use size 3 or 4 dpns?

I used size threes.  My gauge was about 6 stitches per inch.

I am thinking about knitting a pair of socks. (which will be my first) Your socks are super cute.

I would like to knit them so that they are knee highs.

Do you think that would be ok for my first pair or should I concentrate on the lower part first.

PInkhairedcyn - those are very lovely socks.  I like how the stripes appear all random.  Glad to see you're posting projects here.... I can't wait to see your brioche hat!

SassyLassy - I think it would be not that much more difficult to knit knee-high socks.  The only really tricky part to socks is the heel.
