I too no longer have a sewing machine. I moved out of my mom's house and I don't have access to her sewing machine (she lives on the other side of Washington). we'll see what Santa brings me this year  Wink

Sewing machines scare me. My mum's serger is especially intimidating. Too many parts. (This obviously doesn't apply to cars or computers, because neither of those scare me at all. Tongue)

I can't wait for partners! Especially because it's been snowing pretty much non-stop for several days now. (We got something like eight inches on Sunday alone.) Here's the view on our street from yesterday:

Yay, winter!

I don't sew and I'm not near good enough at crochet, so knitting it is for me.

All that snow in the picture gives me nightmares.  I am lucky enough to have had off this week (in which I am trying to get my Christmas knitting done) and there was snow on Monday and I was so happy to not have to be out in it. Tongue

I've been to Houston (I used to live in both Tulia and Canyon; which is near Amarillo) and I had my back surgery at the Shriner's hospital there. it was in September too so I know how hot it can get there lol.
I just moved to the west side of washington though and I've heard we get a little bit of snow but nothing major, thank goodness. snow is pretty for the first couple hours and then it just gets in the way.

I loved my mom's sewing machine (a husquavarna Cheesy ) that thing could sew through 6 layers of denim!
I don't think santa can afford a 600 dollar sewing machine soooo I'll prolly get something a little less industrial, but that's okay. I looked into learning how to knit but it was all too confusing for me..I'll stick to crochet.

Greetings from the Other Washington. (Can't WAIT for the new family to move in on Pennsylvania Avenue.) Cold and windy here.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Maybe you'll luck out on a vintage machine -- those steel-engine Singers still rock. You may have some luck at a sewing-machine repair shop.

I sent in my application this afternoon -- the 25th. Hope to join y'all.
