Crazy Quilted Christmas Cracker Crowns

Inspired by an idea I had for the Quirky Christmas Swap I've decided to make crackers for all my family this year. These are the crowns that go inside them. They beat the flimsy paper crowns I think!


My sewing skills are sadly a bit lacking, but I think that just adds to the charm

I don't have a photo yet, but I just made the crackers themselves out of handmade paper with diamonds cut at each end for easier pulling. Just insert a cracker snap, crown, little giftie and a bad joke and voila!

Now to dig up lots of incredibly groanworthy jokes for inside the rest of them!

Ha Ha HA HAa  They'r GREAT Id certainly be pleased to find one of those , rather than a naff bit of papper that splits if you actualy wear it for 10 mins lol ,In a cracker !

oh!  That is the neatest idea.  Ive never heard of those  cracker things with prizes inside them!  Send a pm my way letting me know when you post the actual crackers too.  Im curious about what they look like and how they are made.

Christmas crackers generally have a paper crown, rubbish joke and a silly plastic toy inside...and they're brilliant!

I only have photo's of the innards for one of them at the moment since the others haven't been opened yet. I will be making more though so I'll take some photo's.

Do they really not have Christmas crackers in the US?  That's shocking, everyone should have them!  You can get posh ones too with nicer prizes but inevitably they still get tossed in a drawer and thrown out about five years later.  Here are some.

This is one of those great ideas that seems so bloody obvious once you've seen it, but would have never thought of in a million years!!  I'm totally going to steal your idea    I have an idea about making a cracker with empty loo rolls, but I can't figure out a way to get the "crack".  Any thoughts?
