Haven't posted in a great while!
I've been trying out more complex bags and here are two I've made for hauling all my school things:

The first one:

It's really quite big, I can fit 4 quite thick A4 folders into it + everything else I need.

Details:

the back pocket

the corners

the insides

it also has an over-body strap

The second one:

it's even bigger than the first Cheesy

the insides

back pocket detail

front pockets

thanks a lot Smiley
I make all my patterns myself, because I tend to prefer huge bags with lots of pockets, and I don't think there are many patterns like that for sale over here.

I LOVE the first one. Any chance for a tut/pattern?

I really want to be rid of my backpack, but haven't been able to make a school worthy bag that can fit a binder and textbook well.

As soon as exams are done in December i completely intend on making a large shoulder bag for school as well. I'm thinking of a similar style as you have done, but in denim. PLanning on using a combination of different types of denim, both new and recycled from old jeans. Can't wait!!! Big shoulder bags are expensive and MAaaaass produced (i.e. TNA BAGS!!!!)
Good job on the bags , they're both awesome Smiley

those are wonderful! I like larger bags for everyday use, because I haul so much stuff around with a toddler who is not quite potty trained. I LOVE the second bag, very stylish!
