Kudos to you for your interpretation! No one else will have that hat! I've been scared to try that pattern, but maybe I will..

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

i love that hat, i've been meaning to make it for ages but havent had time yet. anyway, the author of the pattern made a few changes to the pattern, like making it more snug, etc. which can be found here: http://flor.trix.net/amelia1.htm

Ok...  So I tried to knit it and I finished it. And each half doesn't match the way it should.

What did I do? Did anybody else have this problem?

(currently I am knitting a new half and then I will be sewing two different pieces together.)

I think I might have missed a row so when it came time to start the other side. It got flip-flopped.

I knitted another half, took apart half of the old hat, and seamed them together. It worked.
