I'm a recovering addict of the MMO FFXI (that's Massive Multi-player Online [game] Final Fantasy Eleven for those of you who don't speak geek) and while I was playing I decided that some of the monsters were so cute I'd try to crochet them. I want to make more... but to get all the info needed I'd have to re-activate the account and play to go take screenshots of the mobs... and I don't wanna risk getting sucked back in lol... *hangs head in shame* Anyway, here are the results!

A couple of Mandragoras (the larger one was a WIP at the time, he now has his leaves and stitching)
***Pattern at end of post***

And a Sapling (baby tree monster)

And, because I love the book Amigurumi!: Super Happy Crochet Cute, I made this bunny which is copied from one that I saw in the author's online gallery. I originally made it as a gift but I kept it for my daughter (myself really) instead... hehe...

***PATTERN FOR SMALL MANDRAGORA***
(I didn't write down what size of hook I used, so I'm gonna have to guesstimate, eek!)

Materials needed:
-Worsted weight yarn:
     -White
     -Green
     -Light brown
     -Dark brown
     -Black
-Embroidery Needle
-Stitch Marker, or a small piece of yarn to mark end of round.
-White felt square (to make eyes out of)
-Craft glue, or needle and thread (to attach eyes with)
-Hook size F & E (For a larger mandy use a larger hook size)

Arms (make 4)
With light brown, ch 3.
R1: SC in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch. Ch 1, turn. (2 sts)
R2: 2 sc in 1st sc, 1 sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. (2 sts)
R3: SC in 1st sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. (4 sts)

Finish off the first 2 with short tails to be stuffed into completed arms. When making the 3rd and 4th, leave long tails for joining to the first 2 arms and sewing to body.
Place 2 finished sides together and whipstitch around edges to form completed arm. Leave a long tail for sewing to body.

Leaves (make 4)
With green, ch 2.
R1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1, turn. (2 sts)
R2: SC in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (2 sts)

***If there are any errors in the pattern please PM me and I will fix the pattern. Please post pics of your mandies if you choose to make one, I'd love to see them!***

lol, yea, mine was too. He's actually the one that got me into it. I made a couple of smaller versions of the Mandragoras as gifts for a couple of our friends in-game, but didn't take pictures first Sad I think they turned out the best. They were about 5 inches tall.

I  just now did and saw a Taru-taru and a Moogle that I'd seen a few years back. Or are you asking if I've tagged them for google search? You know... I never knew what it was asking in Photobucket when it had a box for tags... lol.
