hey there,

Is anyone interested in an international plastic bag swap?  I'm thinking different colours, different languages, just different too what we find every day.
They fold up really small, so I think we could send 30 overseas without breaking the budget.
Any takers?
Please PM me, or just answer to this. (sorry if I'm doing this wrong moderators! Please let me know!!)

Cheers,

Cindy.

Where would be the craftiness in the swap?  Are you sending plastic bags like you would find at the grocery store?  All swaps must contain craftiness. Smiley

This could be altered to create things with the plastic bags.  Crochet or knit with the bag plarn or make something crafty with the fused bags, create something using plarn on plastic canvas, etc.

sorry, not enough information! Yes of course, make things from fused bags, or plarn, etc. I think it would be fun; currently I'm making some fused bags into pillows for lounging on in front of the tv.  I'd love to do a swap of this type.

Although I haven't tried fusing bags yet, you could make the following with them:  shopping bags or totes, makeup bags, place mats, coupon holders, plastic bag storage bags and possibly more things, I just can't think of them now.  I have crocheted and my daughter has knitted tote bags with plarn.  I even crocheted a purse with tan  bags that looks like a summer straw purse.  I have used plastic canvas to make boxes of all sizes and shapes using plarn instead of yarn.  You can make key chain fobs with the PC (plastic canvas) and plarn, as well as earrings (as I have seen on Etsy) and coasters for cold drinks.
