I made this tote/purse awhile ago out of a vintage pillowcase and green and white gingham fabric I had laying around. The lace is original to the pillowcase. I kinda liked how it looked, so I left it on there.

Inside:

I thought it would make a great green shopping bag as well as a purse.

Comments and constructive criticism always welcome.

I love it too!  Is there a tutorial anywhere or did you make it up?

I just made it up as I went. It's pretty easy really. Just did a rectangle of fabric sewed the sides and the bottom and then sewed across the corners of the bottom to make it square. Does that make sense?  Huh Same thing with the lining and then sewed outside and lining together.

If you want, I can give you more details, or perhaps make a tutorial, but I am pretty sure there are similar instructions somewhere on here!  Grin

I'm not overly clever with my sewing skills sadly  Cry

But I'd like to try one of these, especially with all the great pillowcases you see around!!!  I could have HUNDREDS of new bags!  Cheesy
