get it? leaves!! and becuz its recycled!!
i think this is a mostly 'green' project.

i went to all the Major home dep. stores.
i went around town gathering hundreds of paint sample chips....and i mean HUNDREDS.
i thought they'd say something to me while I'm walking out of the store with handfulls of paint samples, but no one did!
TOOLS:
*scissors
*double sided tape
*black poster board, (or white and a new sharpie)
*hundreds of paint samples
*sharpie
*an hour

THE KEY TO THIS PROJECT IS RANDOMNESS! DONT THINK ABOUT IT TOO MUCH! or you'll ruin it!
if you try to place each colour next to another one you like, or want them all the same color or texture, it kind of takes away from the awesomeness...
i tried doing this with an "all green" tree.
i like the RANDOMness better.
i picked up all kinds of paint samples. some have golf flecks, a sandpaper feel, are super shiny, or just look cool.
i cut each one RANDOMLY into a big leaf shapes.
*(i suppose you could do this with a dye cut scrapbook tool or something,
but i did all mine by hand, trying to use as much of the little paper as possible.)
after all leaves are cut out, i drew RANDOM bold lines with a thick sharpie.

i cut long strips of poster board, you don't have to make these straight, we're looking for randomness, remember?
tape the "sticks" RANDOMLY on a wall, where it meets the floor or baseboard.
i turned all the "leaves" upside down on the floor and jumbled the around for extra RANDOMness!,
and taped them in RANDOM places on the tree

oh, a RANDOM kitty!!

this project is so super easy!
i hope you like it!
