Hi Everyone,
I found this picture and I'm obsessed with this tulle headband/ birdcage veil. Being the crafty bride I am, I would like to make something similar to this.
Link to picture below

I was wondering how I could get the tulle and netting to lay flat on my head all night and stay there? If you have any other idea on how to make something similar, let me know.
I have already read the traditional birdcage veil tutorials, and I did not find anything too helpful for this one.

Thanks again!

Perhaps you could affix the tulle to a verrrry wide headband that is a similar color to your hair.  If your wedding is a while off, you could even get a 6" trim or so and glue your real hair to the band, then top it with the tulle.  I can't think of any other way to keep it constantly taut, though.

I love planning parties - come to me if you need any ideas!

My wedding is in June so I have some time to think about it. I was thinking maybe two toupee clips and hide one of them under a small strip of lace and one under the flower or something similar. I'll have to experiment.

Thanks for you idea!

It almost looks like it is a fabric headband that is tied in the back under her updo. i wear alot of headbands like that to work since i have wear my hear up they stay pretty tight against my head, if i tie it tight enough and since my hair is up that keeps it from slipping, does that make sense? i also tuck the ends of the headband in so they don't stick out.
