I'm from winnipeg, too!  I wasn't expecting 6 pages of winnipeggers here. That's great! I'm a newbie on craftster, but only because I just found out about it. I've been crocheting for 8 years now, mostly afghans and ponchos and a few bags. I've only recently started sewing again and made actual clothes! That I can wear! I taught myself to knit 2 years ago and recently learned embroidery from a book.  So I do a bit of everything.  It's so nice to be in a forum where there's so many people from the same city, let alone so many Canadians!

I live in Winnipeg.  Smiley
I enjoy the art/cultural community here.
It's much more thriving than the small city in Ontario from which I originally hail.

Hi folks, I just visited Winnipeg last week, and it was really fun.  I am contemplating teaching a jewelry workshop (silver clay probably) up there in the next year and I am wondering if you know of any spaces (bead shops, art class organizations) that might be a good spot to have the class.  I don't want to clutter your board, so maybe you could private message me, or email valoir at bitstream dot net.   I appreciate any leads.

it's all jewelry all the time!

I'm from Winnipeg!
I have been sewing since I was a little girl, but just took up knitting for the first time this winter and am trying to tackle crochet as well.

Not exactly Winnipeg, but south of......
I sew purses, bags, wedding photo albums, potholders....... when I'm not sewing a bridal or special occasion dress (custom sewing).

I'm a pegger! if anyone wants to do some crafting in the transcona area just drop me a note!
i scrapbook, bead, sew, knit, crochet, and up and down the board both ways. I don't quilt but I think I'd like to give it a try.
