I've been trying to come up with ideas for a crafty themed 3/4 sleeve tattoo.  i saw the other thread and was super insired by the sewing machine and the dress form.  Anyone have any neat ideas?  or more pictures?
while searching the internet, i found this...

i would love to get this...

are you positive that you will like being stuck with a large sewing machine on your arm until the end of time? personally... i think it would be cool to get a tattoo of a needle with thread -BUT- have the needle appear to be going under the skin and popping back out again. just a spinoff of your sewing theme  Smiley

ooo! good idea with the needle. i saw a girl who had safety pin tattoos that looked like they were pierced through the skin right next to her hipbones. i now covet some such ink......

ooooo! if you're  into the gorier side of things you could have the pair of scissors cutting through your skin and have a needle+thread sewing it back up in their wake!

I like the needle and thread idea although I'm not into gorie tattoos. I am thinking about a sewing related tattoo and the first thing that comes to mind is a tomato pin cushion. I have plenty of tattoo's to work on until the perfect idea comes to me. What is the first object that comes to mind when you think of sewing?

I wonder if you could get a portion of a knitted sleeve tattooed with the free end of the yarn and the ball like switchfoortlvr said.........like have that as the wrist end of the sleeve and then have the free end and the ball segue into the rest of the piece. It would probably look best with skinnyskinny yarn and, like, size 3 needles. and you'd have to angle the needles so that they didn't bend around your arm too much........

My brain is trying to work out how to merge that idea with the rough tatt idea I already have for my right wrist. (a crafty sleeve would be on my right arm because my left is reserved for a scarification piece and to be a canvas when I am bored and in posession of a pen)
