Because it is the holiday season, i just really want to make something to give and help others. For anyone unaware of all the knitting charities, there are a lot.

- click these links for a list of just a few. -

Post anything you wish to make for someone in need, or our soldiers overseas, or any other charities. I can't wait to make some new hats for caps for kids, and i really hope to see some amazing projects for the other charities out there!

Great idea for a knit a long.  I won't be able to start for another month or so because I have to get through Christmas knitting. Tongue

When I do start my first plan of action is to knit for http://www.knitforthecure.com/

I have been gifted a ton of pink yarn from one of my aunts.  I HATE the color pink, but would like to support breast cancer, so this is perfect.  I have a co worker going in tomorrow for a lumpsectomy (sp?).  So there is a personal connection as well.

So many charities to choose from, it is a little overwhelming.  I will however mention one more that also wasn't on either list and that is the Red Scarf Project: http://orphan.org/index.php?id=40  Go to the web site for guidelines, they are important to read.  The deadline is December 15th, so just one month away.  They have this every year though, if you can't make the deadline, then start for next year.
