Welcome to the WWP swap rd 9 Yule/Winter Holiday Card Gallery!

This is a part of the WWP swap rd 9 found here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=277513.0

Post your cards here when you receive them!

Hey Everybody,
This page is for the Yule card portion of the Witch/Wiccan/Pagan Swap 9. This separate page will help keep things organized, and will not overpopulate the regular gallery with pictures, since there will be many of them, Im sure. This page will also serve to post some questionnaire information about the people you are sending to. Dont worry; personal information like addresses and real names will not be posted on here. Address info will be sent separately, as well as the select answers from the questionnaire ( whether  they are in or out of the BC and how long they have been practicing) You should be seeing this list in your in box around the 20th after partners have been assigned. It is without further adieu that I present the info from RondaS on this optional addition to the swap.

Brightest Blessings,
Saturn

****************************************************
Do you want to be included in an exchange of addresses for Yule/Midwinter Holiday cards? If so, everyone on the following list will receive your user name, real name and address in order to send a card to you, and you will be expected to send a card (purchased or crafted) to everyone listed.

I am not going to ask for DC#'s on the cards - but will ask everyone to let me know if there is anyone they didn't receive a card from in a timely manner, which if there is a consistent trend that someone didn't send it will go into comments in the feedback, but not into determining pos. or neg. feedback.

If you ask to join this list, and then change your mind - no harm! Or if you don't ask to join and decide you want in on it, no problem! Just get a note to RondaS before she sends the list out to everyone around Nov 22nd or so give everyone enough time? She will let you all know in advance that she is sending it out in case anyone wants to change their status.

If you ONLY want to be included in the card swap, send this information to RondaS by Nov 20th with a heading of WWP rd 9 card only - It will go into your profile as the WWP swap with comment in your notes that you ONLY did the card exchange. If you sign up for only the card swap you can not change your mind after partners are assigned!

This option is ONLY available to previous WWP participants from any round.

If you ONLY want to be included in the card swap, send this information to RondaS by Nov 20th with a heading of WWP rd 9 card only!!!!!!!!

Furthermore My Friends,

This is a questionnaire that EVERYONE should answer! POST THESE ANSWERS IN THIS THREAD

and do not PM me with them. This gives quick access to your preferences by everyone involved without sending a ton of PMs. The other information, addresses, names, broom closet questions, etc. will be answered in that list from previously collected information. You only have to answer the questions below, as if you have signed up for WWP9 or just the card swap with the questionnaire above, we already have that vital information. Quick info bits will be posted under your name above for easy access to card senders, but we encourage you to find their post in this thread for more detailed info!

Blessings,
Saturn

Quickie Questionnaire: Taken from Lunakittens suggestions.  Smiley

Is it ok that the card has blatant pagan themes on it, or do you need to be careful of the other people in your house that my view them?

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?

What are your views on Santa?

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?

Anything else?

Yes, blantant Pagan Themes are ok and encouraged!!

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?
I'd prefer a Pagan one, but others are fine too. Smiley

What are your views on Santa?
Im ok with Santa. Hes a jolly ole elf right?  But theres some historic controversy that we get our modern images of Santa are from the god Odin, and the more slim versions are either fashioned after the saint himself, a druid priest, or even a folkloric Grandfather Winterso who knowslol  Wink

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?
Traditional card.

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?
I usually do, but I think it would be cool from this group.

Anything else?
Since the cards are going to be mailed to my moms house and then brought to my home, just no pentacles on the outside envelope please.

What are your views on Santa?
Is one ok chap. He needs to stay out of my girl scout cookie stash though.

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?
Either way I'm happy Smiley

Pagan themed cards are fine, everyone here in Seattle knows I'm out of the broom closet

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?
Pagan cards would be wonderful and would be a welcome change from the Christian themed cards my parents send.

What are your views on Santa?
We love Santa, he's a pretty cool old guy. He does like my cookies, so its all good

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?
Traditional cards

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?
Nope, some extended family send them. Its nice to be able to see what everyone is up to.

Anything else?

It's okay if there are pagan themes on the card.

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?
I think the traditional holiday card is nice but any combination is great.

What are your views on Santa?
He does wear a pointed hat Smiley.

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?
Traditional card preferably

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?

Quickie Questionnaire:

Is it ok that the card has blatant pagan themes on it, or do you need to be careful of the other people in your house that my view them?

Absolutely, it's fine. In fact, it's even better.

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?
A really pagan type card sounds good. Though, I never called it Yule, I've been celebrating winter solstice ever since I left home. My Roman Catholic upbringing just never stuck!

What are your views on Santa?

I like Santa. I'm from Poland, originally. So, Santa actually comes on December 6 for us. As that is Saint Nick. And then on xmas eve, the angels drop off gifts. I no longer do the angel bit, but I still stick to December 6 for Santa. So, I'm a big fan of Santa.

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?

Either is fine. I like both.

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?

Yes. How'd you know?  Wink

Anything else?

Not than I can think of. Smiley

definitely OK and encouraged - want to get the hubby to be less duh

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?

not so Christmassy, more Yule but really mid winter festival - and with my allergies, a card is the only way I get any pine in my house!

What are your views on Santa?

he is a very nice fellow, but whatever - had him around for the kids but they are all older now and don't need the extra fantasy. if these cards are for me - leave him out; for the family - he's ok; and since everything about this feels like family, he's ok

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?

either is fine - I like both!

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?

no actually - I kinda like the newsy updates that I can read at my leisure - but I don't think I will send one so don't feel obligated to send me one

Anything else?

Everyone remember that if you have sent me an entry for the WWP rd 9 you already filled in the questions in the first post on this thread.

THANK YOU SATURN!!

Nope Smiley

Do you want a more traditional just holiday looking card, a really pagan type card, a more Christmassy looking card?

Yes!  I would love pagan yule cards!  My fiance is atheist but is really interested/supportive with my religion and we would both really enjoy it Smiley

What are your views on Santa?

He seems like a cool guy, just a little creepy.  I mean, first he does a classic B&E into my house and then you have to leave cookies and milk out to bribe him!  I wonder what would happen if we don't leave the cookies out....I'd probably get reindeer droppings under the tree instead of chocolate.  Mmmmm, chocolate Smiley

Would you prefer a traditional card or a postcard?

I would be happy to get ANY card in the mail!  I LOVE going to the mailbox and there being a letter sent to me.  I even get excited about bills (I know, it's sad....but true)

Do you get sickened by those personal news letters people sometimes include with their cards?

Nope, I think I would enjoy it, but don't go out of your way to make one for me.

Anything else?
Yay!  I'm so excited for this!  I wanted to do a card swap this time last year but I couldn't because I was moving.  Can't wait to see all the cards!
