Here is the newest addition to my current felting (and stripey) obsession. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my supreme honor to present to you Her Royal Highness, The Queen of Hearts.

I must admit, I LOVE this bag. This is another one where I vow I'll make myself the same one just to have for myself.  It is fully lined with a large pocket.  I'm a little bummed with the lining...  I had found the most awesome fabric online at Joanns on clearance.  It was black with red and white hearts all over it.  It was labeled as polyester, so of course I was picturing, you know, the material jump suits are made out of.  Nope....I was irked to find it was fuzzy, felt-like material.  Aw bummer.  However, I think that the lining still ended up very nice.

Thanks!

I love it, what do you do for stablizer?
Or, is your felted wool that stiff?

Gorgeous!

Very nice; I love the colors!
How did you felt white and red together without getting pink? That's what happened when I tried it... Sad

I used a plastic mesh that is normally used for needle point.  I only used it on the bottom to give the purse a base- I thought the sides were fine just the way they were. Smiley

I really don't know how it happened!  There is a little pink around the red bands, but for the most part, the colors didn't bleed and I was VERY pleasantly surprised!  I used Patons Classic Merino wool....I don't know if their dyes are just better than other wools or not, but again, I'm very pleased.
