So most of my body of work consists of self portraits with varying themes....and since I haven't posted in a while I figured I should just group a few together.

The first one is Charcoal called "Personalities"- Its basically 2 sides of me.

This second one is mixed media called "I don't find this funny"

This one is life size acrylic cut-out called "Perfect"

This is acrylic painted over blue colored magazine cutouts. "Freedom"
It's about that near unreachable perfect place of contentment.

And the last one is my most recent. "Ostrich"
My friend has a theory that every person resembles an animal...and supposedly I look like an ostrich. Smiley

You make things look so realistic and tangible but with an unmistakable air of surrealism.
In short, I love it. If I were at an art gallery and these were up, I'd definitely buy them Smiley
I think I'd have to say my favorite is "Freedom". It kinda reminds me of a J.W. Waterhouse painting

They are wonderful! I think my favorite is the expression on "I don't find this funny." You captured it perfectly.

I was trying to think of how to word what I was feeling, but couldn't quite figure it out.

You make things look so realistic and tangible but with an unmistakable air of surrealism.

That's pretty much exactly what I was trying to go for  Smiley
You are incredible! The first one draws me in the most. Amazing.

You win at art!

Hahaha! Yes, yes you do. I always quote Powerthirst, but as of yet have not been able to quote this line. It definitely fits here  Cheesy

You flow effortlessly between surrealism and more figurative painting. Your work is amazing and I can relate to many of the pieces. It can be hard to work in self portrait, but you do it well.

Please show us your future works!

very beautiful.  I love the freedom piece, the goldfish are fantastic.  I also believe that everyone looks like an animal.  (i had a friend who had the tom-cattest cat-face ever.  so i called him catface.)
