KRB, this is your block.  When I saw your fabric, for some reason, I thought of butterflies.  I hope you don't mind the scraps I added from my stash.  Hope you love it as much as I do!

SandyBradley, thank you! That butterfly block is gorgeous! I didn't place any requirements or restrictions on anybody, so I'm happy with whatever I get.

And anybody can keep any scraps of my material that they want, too.

I finally took some time to peruse the gallery (seeing how I left my rotary cutter, mat, and ruler at work...  grrrr)...

Ritapizza ~ I love that first block, it's perfect for your fabrics!
Whoopdeedoo_5 ~ I love your fabrics!  The colors together are perfect!  And I'm a sucker for paisleys...
Laural ~ I love the pink and blue matching fabrics...  was it you that said you were quilting for twins?  And the block you made for Ritapizza is lovely...  Oragami?
Libbyk ~ Nice fussy cutting on whoopdeedoo_5 and j_q_adams' block.  =)
j_q_adams ~ I love your fabrics!  Can't wait to see more squares!
SandyBradley ~ I'm in awe of your first two blocks!  I have yet to attempt any circles or applique in my quilting.  Nice work!

=D

Yes they are origami. I also put multi-colored glass beads in for the centers. My mom (Yirq) is working on these blocks with me and she came over and we perfected the little guys. She actually made these two for the square.
If anyone ever decides to try one... forget what the book says about finger pressing. A really hot iron and spray starch are about the only way you're going to get those babies together.

EOcrafter: The edges on your block look funny because I didn't true them up before I took a picture.

Smiley I love this Gallery!  So many great blocks...

Laural - your blocks are really great (and i love your icon, it makes me laugh everytime)

I just wanted to post here since I'm in everyone's group (YEa!):  I put a note in each packet I sent out but I just wanted to let everyone know that the green solid I sent can be used in with either "fish fabric" blocks or the "purple floral" blocks.  I'm going to post the pictures of my 2 fabrics set here again becuase I all of sudden am worried that I wasnt clear- and I don't want fish and floral in the same block Smiley Thanks again to everyone for the PM's letting me know what you have recieved or sent out!

Oh, wonderful! I'm so glad you like it. That's exactly what I was hoping to accomplish with that pattern. I tried to capture as much "picture" as I could with the zoo blocks.
