This is my first ever sweater!  I used the Hey, Teach! pattern on Knitty.  I was inspired by some very beautiful FOs here and on Ravelry.  I kind of think it makes me look fat, its a little short, and its not perfect, but I don't even care because I made it and I love it!! Smiley  I used Lion Brand Cotton-Ease.

Excuse my black bra, lol.

I think it's beautiful. It doesn't make you look fat at all! I love the fact that it's too short because it gives a lovely layered look.

Excellent work. I'm still a little intimidated to make a sweater. Smiley

The color is so cute, and if there are mistakes they are definitely not noticeable!  I'm also working on Hey, Teach and was wondering if I should lengthen it, but the length doesn't look bad at all.  Very nice.

Ooh, I just happen to have some Cotton-Ease lying around! How many skeins did it take?

It only took me three skeins for the size small!! With about 1/3 of the third skein left over.

I really wanted to make this, but after I read through the pattern I was so confused I shot that idea down immediately. I'm a somewhat experienced knitter, but patterns confuse me. Stuff like this: "Set-up Row [RS]: K2[0, 4, 2, 0, 4, 3], " Zero? I don't get that at all. Yours looks lovely, maybe one day I'll figure out patterns, until then I'm going to freehand knit.

that's such a beautiful pattern! and i think as long as you layer it with much something longer, it will look intentionally 'cropped' instead of 'too short,' so don't worry about it! it looks very cute in the picture. Smiley

It looks fantastic!!!!!  I've been looking at this sweater for quite sometime, and I love the length on you, as someone said, it gives it that layered look that I'm oh so fond of.

I didn't think much of this pattern when I saw it on Knitty, but seeing it on you, I'm tempted to make it! And the black bra strap showing on the Hey Teach sweater is kind of naughty librarian!
