I found a wonderful book at the library called 20 Vintage Bags or something like that. I want to try them all! I started by making this one. I used an old skirt I had. I was able to use the skirt lining and ribbon detail too! All I had to add was interfacing. Next time, I think I'll make the handle shorter, and maybe enlarge the pattern a bit.

I have that skirt...GAP, right? What a cute idea. The bow turned out beautifully and I love the way you used the velvet hem accent on the handle. Think I'll try it (with a different skirt).
