Crazy striped fabric + lacey stuff + a few drinks = my new favorite skirt!
No measuring, no straight cuts, just hacking and sewing 'cause that's how I roll.

It's sort of pirate meets saloon girl meets circus ringmaster.

The front is just a plain flat panel, the back is a mass of pleats and ruffles.  You can sort of see the bow back there too.

And here's some stockings I whipped up with a shocking amount of ease out of some stretchy fabric I have.

And the best part?  All that fabric came from thrift stores!

I think I'm in love!!!  For just hacking, it looks pretty straight to me.  I love the colors and ruffles  Grin  Great job

Well, thankfully the stripes helped guide me for the vertical cuts.
And the ruffles disguise the uneven horizontal cuts, so it all works out!

Good job!

If I wear it again any time soon I'll be sure to add more pictures!

That's really awesome, I want a skirt like that! Too bad I can't find any nice stripey fabric...I need to go hunting again, because I'm going to make a skirt like this, too xD The ruffles are really pretty, love it Smiley

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.
