Here's a baby blanket I made a year or more ago....  It was the first "big" project I ever did, as I recall.... Seemed to take for frickin ever. I don't even remember if I have the pattern for it or not... I wanted it to look lacey with out it having big old holes in it. I really like the way it turned out!  My baby's "color" Will be green (and, please, no licenced cartoon characters, aunt thelma) weather it is a boy or a girl. I don't think this will be for my future baby, though... I think I'll have lots of fun making him/her nice things with organic cotton yarn... that'll be a blast..  Anyway, I don't have plans for this blanket right now, but it's nice to have it around, just in case someone has a baby!

Oh, and that's my puppy, Cadence! Smiley

I love that. If you ever happen to come across the pattern, can you tell us where it's from, or post it if possible Wink I love your green couch...I wanna steal it.

Ok, I re-figured out the stitch for the body of the blanket:

Row 1: ch126, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across.
Row 2: ch 1, Turn. (sc, ch3, 3dc) in 1st sc, *Skip 3 sc, (sc, ch3, 3dc) in next sc, Rep* across to last 4sc, skip next 3sc, sc in last sc
Row 3: Ch 3, turn, 3dc in 1st sc, (sc, ch3, 3 dc) in each chain space across. Ending with sc in last space.

Repeat row 3 till blanket is the size you want.

edge with rows of sc, one in a color, if you like.

The frilly edge was made by putting 3 or so tc in each of the sc's.
