I made these ornaments last year,

http://www.netspeed.com.au/qazicat/paper/red_ornaments.jpg

They look great on the tree what ever colour you make them in.  I was so impressed that I have made quite a few of them.

There are photos of other colours and a mini tutorial on the post here:

I remember these! it inspired me to make  one like this...no beads on it though (the circled one)

I bought felt ornaments like this from a craft fair when I was about 9 years old (that's 12 years ago!). It's such a cute and simple idea. I love to make them as Christmas gifts for friends and family.

Sorry for the bad pictures!

Here's another felt ornament I made today as a gift for a friend.

I'm sorry for the appalling photos (my camera likes natural light, and there isn't much of it to be found in a Glasgow winter)!

Her rosy cheeks are made of sequins, the rest of her face is drawn on with fabric paint pens.

I made these with a class full of 14 y/olds last Christmas.  They were a big hit!
They come from this tutorial.http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf54541769.tip.html
Some of the kids used plain paper (computer paper) and covered them in glitter....very effective too.
We haven't got our tree up yet, the ones I made are still up in the roof.  here is a picture from the said website.

Wow spectrumsparkie!  That's really neat!  Especially when you see how it's done.  I also like the recycling aspect of it.

Here is my effort this year.  They're for an ornament Kris Kringle.

They're made from 6cm styrofoam balls, tissue paper, PVA glue, ribbon and two pins.  I'm pretty happy with them!
