i made a couple more of the 6 sided ornaments, i wanted some personalized ones, and he first letter of my name worked fairly well as it is i an M and symmetric, but my husbands name starts with a D and not symetric in the way i would like it to be, then a stroke of genious i'll use the first leatter of his first and last names in lowercase db so i did it that way these are what i came up with
M

db

Neat-O letter ornaments!
So many great ideas, I have been stalking this thread every day. lol!

Here's my contribution:
For my hubby's family, we all swap ornaments with each family.  Cuts down on $$ and anxiety.  I'm making our ornaments this year!  I fell in love with this free pattern from Spool (http://www.spoolsewing.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/birdpattern1-1.pdf):

I'm going to use pretty reclaimed fabrics, and add a ribbon at the top seam for hanging.  These are so simple, my 10 - 14 year-old daughters are able to make these by themselves.  (These also make awesome baby chewy toys.... these are my 7 month-old son's favorite toys!) Wink

The birds are super easy to make. My one year old chews on them too. Smiley I was shocked at how quickly she claimed them.

The mini dog pattern on Runo's site would make a cute ornament. It is meant to be 4cm.
