Hello, I have a Christmas work party to go to and want to make my own dress. I've made lots of things before but have never used a pattern, so I'm looking for people who need to make something too but have been putting it off.

I have 3 patterns
V8020:

V2960:

V2929:

as you can probably guess I do have a fondness for the vintage, I'm leaning towards V8020 style C or D and will probably need to do a petticoat, so anyone want to join me and keep me company? (or I know me, I'll end up putting it off until it's too late)

You could probably modify the pattern for a higher back.  For some reason, the low back didn't even register with me when I glanced at the pics - I just saw the overall shape which I love.   Cheesy

Anyone joining? making anything for Christmas?
Yeah thinking of maybe modifying the back or giving V8020 a fuller skirt.

I actually like the 8020 as it is. With the right fabrics and trims, it could look flapper-ish, which just gave me a really great idea for a Christmas dress.. I'll try to join in, but I'm not sure I'll have a lot of time between now and then, or even anywhere to wear it!

I'll join up! I have a ton of fabric and patterns just sitting around, and I COULD really use a new party dress.

I'll post my options later today when I get home.
