Lap Quilts For All Swap- Round 4! CLOSED!

I LOVE this swap! if you at all have doubts on whether or not you'll have time here is what i do . . .

i have been in three groups for the last round and two before that. i kept is simple. i choose a block (the past two rounds i chose a block representative of me) and i make that block for everyone. if the person was in more than one group with me and sent the same fabric for both groups than i made a second different block, but if they sent different fabric for each group i made the origonal block. i did this because if i had to choose a different block for every pack of fabric it would be rather tedious and i wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. i really enjoyed seeing the same block look so different with each persons fabric choices, and after i made 2 or 3 of the block i knew it off by heart and i was fairly confident i wouldn't be miscutting someone elses fabric.

so all you fence sitters jump on over!

I went and got fabric today for one group (I am signed up for two groups as of today!)  This will be for a Christmas quilt for my brother and sister-in-law in 2009.  I am trying to plan ahead!



If anyone is thinking about two groups, go ahead and do it!

This is not a great pic, but these are the kinds of things I have pulled so far.  I think I am doing black/white/greys with little bits of color.  Everyone is only getting one color each...will that drive you crazy??



I have always wanted a quilt in this style, but have always thought it would drive me crazy if I had to do all the blocks myself. 

Each package will be pretty different...

on an administrative note...
Signups are scheduled to close tomorrow. We still have 9 slots left to fill. If we don't get any more people by tomorrow, we will either have to have 3 people who have multiple spots give one up or have a bunch of us sign up for another spot to fill the 9 open spots. So if you know anyone on craftster who you think would enjoy this swap, do let them know today! I would hate to have to cut the 3 spots that are already taken, but I'm weary of extending signups since we're already on a short timeline for the fabric sendouts. Thanks guys!

I got my fabrics! I am so excited, my sil helped me pick them out.


These are the 5 I just bought tonight.





The dark brown is really pretty, it has a brown on brown pattern, can't really see it here.

And I recently just did a project with greens and browns, and this is what I have from that, I love the top one, may use it for this too, but I have less than a yard of it.

I love that! I'm actually working on a black and white quilt right now, been thinking I want to add a little color, but I like your idea of using different colors in each block.  If need be I could sign up for a second group and use my black and whites.

FlashleyAshley~I almost got your fabric in the lower right corner! My sil and I really liked it but couldn't find other fabrics to go with it that we liked. I love what you put together!
