Aw man, I wanted to go to Joann's today to pick out my fabrics but I ended up taking care of my nephews when my sister in law got sick.

Only 3 more days of sign-ups!  I just wanted to bump this thread back to the top in case people are lurking about and teetering on the fence.  Everyone spread the word ... the swap will be much more fun if it's full!   

I have a stack of fabric that has been earmarked for months for LQS4 ... I bought them sometime mid-way through LQS3 ... but lately I've been lukewarm about them.  Then, on my lunchbreak yesterday, I went over to Joann's to pick up a coordinating solid, and I wound up selecting a few different solids and small-scale prints.  It's amazing how much this addition enhanced the fabrics.  Now I am really excited about my selection again!  I'm going to try to get a picture this weekend ...

Post pics of your fabrics if you've already got 'em!  Or, if you're still deciding, post pictures of what you might be selecting!  I think it will get us all excited to see what we'll be working with ...

I haven't get gotten my fabrics, but it's on my list of things to do today. Ideally, I will do a teal and red quilt to match my living room. WHo knows what will catch my eye at the fabric store, though. There's really no telling what I'll come back with...

Wheeee!! I'm in!  I got so excited about this swap, I whipped up a block last night with my cutie-pie fabrics, also, I wanted to remind myself that I do indeed remember how to quilt

So is about 1.5 yds of each fabric appropriate if I cut them into 9x11? I just dont want to come up short. Im going for about 5-6 fabrics.

Yes, if you cut your pieces into fat eights. You will end up with 12 so that would be perfect.

When we get started and recieve fabrics would anyone mind if I cut a 1.5 inch square to keep for my postage stamp quilt? I just wanted to ask since we are suppoed to send back the leftovers.  I thought it would be a cool reminder of the swap in my quilt ( whenever I actually make it).

Most people don't mind and a lot of people say in the note they send with their fabrics that it is okay.
