highlands county here- we have a walmart  Undecided. this area is so devoid of resources that even a Joannes and or a Michaels in less then a 40 mile drive would seem like nirvana Grin. so all that can be said is "thank you Jeez - zus for the internet. (and mail order)

Ah, yes. I know whatcha mean. My grandparents live over there. Good craft stores are few and far between. Good luck!

I visited a new yarn store over in Leesburg today Chez Casual (you can see their site here, http://www.chezcas.com/).   She has 20% off this month in store to celebrate her grand openning.  Her name is Carla and she's wicked nice and has some nice yarns and a couple of yarns that weren't that expensive.   She had a nice! acryllic blend that was cheap and in the exact colors for my neopolitan blanket.

You can also buy online and if your order is over $25 she'll ship for free!   But if you're in the area I recommend a visit.   Seriously, she's really knowledgable and helpful!!!!!

Also, in the Orlando area Knit! is having a sale as well.

Grin  Hi Everyone,

I thought I would stop by and say hey too!  I've just joined craftster and stumbled across this forum.  I'm in the Orange City/DeLand area.  As to the craft stores in this area, I most always frequent, Crafts n' Stuff and Joann's in Orange City, & Michaels in Sanford.  Of course there is WalMart too!   And I do quite a bit of shopping online also.  Couldn't live without the internet.  Can find interesting things that aren't found locally.  I didn't see anyone else that replied to this post that was in my area   Cry

Nice to meet you all.

Hi, I recently moved to Palm Bay. I can't help out with info about crafting stores. I'm just learning how to navigate the 'Space Coast' to buy groceries. Fortunately I packed lots of crafting supplies, and all the posts here will be helpful to me. This is my first post on this site. I'm really happy to meet fellow crafters (and neighbors).

Hey Guys! Sadly I will be moving from the area at the end of the month  Sad But I'm too much of a hippie to throw perfectly good magazines away (or too much of a craftster  Wink ) So does anyone want them? Mostly Jane, a few Lucky and a couple other randoms. There are about 2 years worth of magazines that I kept, always telling myself that i'd do something with them. They are free to a good home or organization or anything except a landfill! If anyone wants them or knows of someplace that wants them please let me know asap!

Hi guys! I'm in the DeLand area, which does not seem to have any craft stores besides the Super Wal-Mart,so I usually buy my craft supplies in Orlando or Daytona.I travel all over Central Florida for crafty stuff, though. Grin

The only store I have visited that you all haven't mentioned is a bead store in Daytona that I found (http://www.be-charmed.com/) They've got lots and lots of beads and supplies. Smiley They have directions to their store on their site if anyone is interested.
