Hi, this is the first time in forever that I've posted to Craftster but anyhoo, down to business:

This is the real colour of the fabric. And here's the dress itself:

Bust/bodice area:

More bust detail:

I know it's a pretty simple dress, but it's been ages since I last sewed, so I'm proud there weren't any major screw-ups. I messed up the front where the straps meet, but that was conveniently covered up by the rose! Hahah  Cheesy

EDIT~ As promised, here are the pictures with the dress on

Sorry, I know they're a bit dark, but you get the general idea..

Man, I love that color! Can you post a picture of you wearing it or maybe of it on a dress form? I'd love to see how it hangs and stuff. It looks like you did a good job on the pintucks. I would never have the patience to do those.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

fiberartist219 - my formal is the day after tomorrow, so I'll post more pictures soon. And oops, they're pintucks not pleats..LOL, my sewing vocab is terrible.

seneris - ugh, it's actually a real mess inside. Loose threads everywhere, raw edges ..   Shocked

I know what you mean, you really don't want to see the insides of anything I have ever sewn. Luckily most people won't get to see the insides. As long as it looks good on the outside and doesn't fall apart, right?
