I love the Quetzal card! (I've had a thing for Quetzals since 7th grade when I had to do a report on them lol)

I received Q from playswithneedles the other day (sorry for the blurriness, my camera hates closeups)

Quaggy Quicksand (I think, the card is at home) made out of felt and beads (the wrist is attached so the hand waves helplessly as she's sucked into the quicksand) This is definately one of my favorite cards!!  Thank you, playswithneedles! Thank you for organizing, twiztdblood!

I received from sajona!  Yay!  The title is "Red" and the subject is (duh) the letter 'R'.  This scan does NOT do it justice.  She used ribbon, a metallic heart cutout, cutout from magazines and what looks (and feels) like handmade paper.  It's beautiful and especially so because it is the FIRST ATC card I've received..ever.

I finished stitching up the last of my cards and now just have to construct them tonight and send them out tomorrow.  Grin

Thanks to sajona for the beautiful card and to TwiztidBlood for organizing.  Smiley

so, we have:

P- "privacy" by zenchild. there is layering, glitter, wax, a feather and a scrabble tile. the feather moves to reveal a woman spying through the doorjamb, it appears. this card is AMAZING.

q- "Q is for Quiz" by panthermoon. this card is so cute with the answers, name and grade all written in and a TINY smileyface sticker!  Grin

r- "R is Radical, Rivals, Robins & Ravens!" by flyraeven. it has hand-drawn birds facing off! so adorable.

thank you so much! i love them! (yay for my first alphabet ATCs!)

glad you liked it - there are all sorts of reds there - 2 are from an old 1970s knitting pattern and yes one is a handmade paper. I'm glad it all stayed in one piece - I had to use sticky pads to attach everything as glue just seeped through the fluffy paper.

I've received my last two cards.  Smiley

The other day I received from zenchild and it's a beautiful card! I have to warn you this picture does not do it justice. I tried to take a photo, but it turned out too blurry. That may be just me though as I don't feel too well right now. So I scanned it & because it's got lots of layers some of it looks blurry. It's funny that you should pick this subject because lately these have been of interest to me...R - "Raven"

Yesterday I got one from flyraeven. I love this one too!  Smiley You can't tell in the picture because of the scanner, but the top layer of the flames and the couple aren't glued down except at the bottom, so they kind of pop away from the card. "P is for PASSION!"

Thank you both!!

I've received 3 great new cards to add to my collection in this swap. It's sad though, I've received all my cards now and there's nothing to look forward to in the mail. At least I get to see all the great cards everyone else is receiving  Cheesy

Kishcrafts just got my Q card, but can't post pix for a while, so here is my photo:

Quentin Crisp is one of my favourite characters - and full of fantastic quotes - google him for examples! If you haven't heard of him then check out 'The Naked Civil Servant' starring John Hurt (which is a bio of his early life) - and Sting's song 'An Englishman in New York' is about him.
