"Gear" is 1960s British slang, a term heavily identified with the Beatles (like "fab") and it means great, cool, fashionable, etc.  Saying geary, however . . . now that's funny.  It's like if your grandma came up to you and said "Your new handbag is freshly dope, for shizzly" or something.  Cheesy
