I would think that you'd have to do a little shaping in the seat/crotch area to accommodate lively little boy movement, or the crotch will tear...maybe as you trim the back neck seam down, you could leave the extra inches in the seat in?

And with the extra inches you could put in snaps at the crotch, too.

Oh that is lovely and I need to do my 8 month more clothes.. he thinks he is a year old and is the size to prove it !! I have a couple of nice shirts of his dads where the elbows have gone so this would be a perfect use for them

Haha! I know what you mean! My little guy was 10lbs 6 1/2 oz. and 22 1/2 " Long and they took him a week early! The doctor looked at me and said.. "Honey...he's just not going to fit!" He was in a size 1 diaper by the time we got to the recovery room! When my son was 8 months old he was already wearing some 18 month old clothes! I gave birth to a toddler. ANyways... thanks so much everyone for the nice comments! Oh.. and as far as there not being enough room for the bottom area.. it seems to be pretty comfy and roomy. I didn't add snaps to the crotch area since it already has buttons all the way down the front and it's easy to get on and off.  My son is very very active and believes diving head first over the back of the couch is great fun. This outfit doesn't seem to restrict him...darn it..! haha.
