Hi Everyone,

Please meet "Cayenne" another new bear for my new 'PAST TIMES' collection. Cayenne is approximately 18cm/7 inches tall and is 5 way jointed using cotter pin joints.  He wears very beautiful short dense mohair and he is so soft to touch with loosely stuffed tummy containing a combination of glass beads and lead free steel shots.   He has a rough finish nose and medium size black German glass eyes.

Cayenne have my JENNY LOVES BENNY stamp on one footpad and I've given him a cheeky little smile which reminds me very much of puppy "Walter" when he looks at me with his puppy eyes and tiling his head waiting for me to do something for him! tee hee

Thank you for stopping by Cheesy

oh my goodness he's the cutest little guy!!

i love the name!

i have a question, is he intended for children? or is he more of a decorative bear? i ask because i want to get into more involved toy-making and i wonder about the use of the eyes for the youngins. are there eyes that still look like cayenne's that are safe for babies? is that what you used?

he really is adorable! Smiley

Thank you for your lovely comments..
jessimocha - the eyes are hand blown glass eyes and not suitable for young children because they have a wire loop around the back.  You can use childsafe eyes, they're plastic and can't be yanked off but they're not as shiny or nice as the glass eyes.
It's an alternative for young children though.  That's the same with the joints, you can purchase plastic safety joints for assembling bears also.

You are so good.  I haven't made a bear in ages.  Your faces are so cute and serene.  Thanks for sharing.
