So my 20 month old LOVES the Samurai Jack cartoon & I must say I am quite proud of him for having such good taste @ a young age. Anyway, I didnt have pattern, I pretty much winged the whole thing. It was originally suppose to be white and grey, but my husband went out looking for fabric in the middle of the night & beige was the best he could do. Its still cute though & I am happy with how it turned out. I used a white twin sheet for the karate pants (they tie @ the top) & the Gi, the beige fabric is a pillow case (like I said, best he could do) I think the total came to about $8.....maybe.
The Aku plushie I already posted; you can find all the details for it in this link:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=276071.msg3123004#msg3123004
I was going to make him a cardboard samurai sword, but my kid is lethal with anything resembling a stick, so I decided on AKu (the villian of Samurai Jack) instead. The AKu plushie is truly the best thing I have ever sewn & I am so proud of it. I have been shoving it in everyones face that comes in my house like its a trophy or something.
a reference pic for all of those unfamiliar
This picture was taken when we got home from trick-or-treating, so pardon the chocolate stains
& Aku....I have one of my son holding the plushie with his costume, but I cant seen to find it. I will post it later when I come across it.
also, a reference picture of Aku
I hope you like everything, I know the Samurai Outfit wasnt the moist complicated thing in the world but it took me awhile to figure out the correct Gi pattern.
