It's Friday again already!  Cheesy
Sunset Lagoon is great! And Jazzturtle's corespun Roses and Autumn coils are amazing! Love the beginning of the silk crochet scarf too.
And luxx - yes, Jazzturtle's Waterlillies yarn is spun from the Monet batts.

I have been spinning lots last week.

Valentine - 82 yards, corspun Kid Mohair and suri Alpaca

Cafe au lait - 99 yards, Alpaca,  Merino & Shetland wool, baby Llama fiber and Tussah silk. (all natural colours)

Pixie - 195 yards , handprocessed Shetlandwool from a local farm, spun first then dyed

Erin - 194 yards, Shetland, Corriedale, Texel and Cotswold wool, suri alpaca and golden sparkle

Chill - 87 yards, Falklandwool & Viscose

Blackberry Cream - 77 yards, Falklandwool & Viscose

Pure - 117 yards, Baby Llama, Falkland wool, Kid Mohair, Tencel and sparkle. With beads, sequins and lace bits spun it.

Tempting - 85 yards, Merino wool, sparkle and handfelted beads

Pumpkin Pie - 59 yards, this is the golden version. Romney & Merino wool, Viscose, golden sparkle and sequins plied it with a golden thread and glassbeads.

Does anyone know of a good resource for learning how to best achieve vibrant colors using Jacquard Acid Dye?

When I use them, I mix them up with just vinegar, once in a while I'll add a drop of water but I just use vinegar only. I get such strange looks when buying excessive amounts of vinegar at the supermarket haha!

Also I let mine steam forever, I want to be sure that color is in there.

Thanks cloudlover and adirtyspoon!!  That's the problem; I didn't use any vinegar.

Caedara, your pumpkin pie is GORGEOUS.  Just beautiful.  The gold really is the perfect finish.

LOL me too!  I usually by 5 gallon-jugs at a time... once the manager of the grocery I always go to struck up a conversation with me re: all the vinegar I had.  He was pretty amused when I told him it was for.  I'll bet he thought I was going to pickle something.

Here's another tip: to get the nasty vinegar smell out, I rinse the roving at least twice- I use Kookaburra wool wash in the first bath, and then rinse with clear water the second.  That wool wash makes the roving smell DIVINE!

Thanks!
The photos from the mushroom dyeing workshop are cool! So atmospheric. Dyeing outside under the trees in a big kettle... And the leaves even match the yarns you dyed.  Cheesy

Love them all, I feel like you guys are in a secret cult that only a few can join-that is until I convince hubby that it's okay to add just ONE more craft to my multitudes of piles in the basement!
I already tell him my fabric insulates the basement, he should be greatful! lol

Beautiful work ladies TGFFF (thank God for Fibre Fridays)!
