Does it ruin the tape measure or could you undo it and use it? I think if you can use it, it would be a great GREEN addition to wrapping presents.

AWESOME IDEA!!!  I just finished putting together a sewing kit for my niece for Christams and this would be a great way to decorate her wrapping!  Thanks for the inspiration  Grin  And anyone whose wondering how to accomplish this, I think this video will help http://www.instructables.com/id/Star-Shaped-Ribbons/  It demonstrates how to create traditional gift bows with a stapler, ribbon, scissors, pins and a pin cushion.  I can hardly wait to make one!

Thanks so much for the great compliments! It was a big hit at the office, even the lunch lady loved it Smiley

Unfortunatly it does ruin the tape measure, it doesnt quite use the entire measure and you end up cutting the end off to make the second tail.
