Aww, thanks for the wonderful comments!

I definitely think my quilt turned out better with the walking foot.  It helped keep it from puckering and shifting too much.  I will be using it for my next quilt, that's for sure!

I love the colors of the fabrics -- my sister spends a lot of time on the couch which is solid brown, so I thought the brown with pinks, blues and greens would be great.

This is beautiful!! I was looking for a pattern like this to use on my husband's old Apple work t-shirts...what is this "Disappearing Nine Patch" pattern...?

I found the tutorial here at Sew Mama Sew: http://www.sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=382

Basically, you make a nine patch square, and then cut it up and re-sew it!  It is super easy to do. There's a great link to a tutorial on that blog that makes it really clear!  There are also some other great resources in the blog from that month - definitely some neat things to try out!
