Reserved for the lovely Hunni. (and Gus the turkey)

Hunni arrived today!! And brought so many treats with her!!
Unfortunately i'm a little under the weather so didn't take any detailed photos, but don't worry I will!

Here is Hunni with all the goodies she brought.

An adorable Canadian passport, cookies (in the white bags), her bio, a letter B cell phone charm - which matches the 'H' she sports on her handbag! and contract. Oops I almost forgot the best bit! Hunni also brought a cd with her THEME SONG on it!! I'm 99% sure that Hunni is the only LV with a theme song!!

Delicious cookies!! Well i'm guessing they are (don't they look so yummy??!). I haven't tried them yet because they are just soooo pretty! How can I possibly eat a cookie that looks that good?! I've never put that much effort into making cookies!

Okay we're off to have some chocolate pudding. xx

NOVEMBER 23rd
Sorry for the lack of updates. We've had a fairly dull week. Lots of tv, baking and arts and crafts with the kids Tongue

But today Hunni and I went into NYC. Had a lot of fun, but it was sooooooo cold!

Here she is at Rockefeller Centre. The Christmas angels are back!

And the Christmas tree has been put up. Here it is getting ready to be decorated.

Meeting T-Rex in Times Square

And my favourite place to visit in the city.

Gus came home after a fantastic Christmas break spent in Canada. I love his scrapbook - it's so clever. I love that i'm building up a shelf of photo albums for Gus. I can't wait until next round!!

Here is Gus with all his things. Everything is wonderful but i think his hat and scarf are the CUTEST things i have ever seen!!

He came home with so many things: scrapbook, SMARTIES (i havent had these since i left home. Thankyou!!), a handmade Toronto jumper - adorable!, a xmas ornament, a xmas stocking filled with lollies and mac and cheese- our favourite food!

Sorry for the terrible photo - it doesnt do justice to this amazing ornament. THANKYOU! Christmas ornaments are my favourite things to collect!

Some scrapbook pages:

Thanks Destined To Fail for giving Gus an amazing holiday!!

and thankyou Kish for once again hosting my favourite swap~!! Smiley

Reserved for the adventures of Hot Pants Lance and Tapey.

"Goodbye and have a good time," said the girls as they tucked some money into Lance's hot pants.

A series of comics starring Tapey the Measuring Turtle will appear here.

I haven't received Tapey yet, but here is some comic-y goodness of a little someone anticipating Tapey.

Again, go to my photostream to make the pictures bigger.

Tapey gets attacked by a Puki.  Those Pukis are always attacking someone.

Shortly after these pictures were taken it was 60 degrees and all of it melted.  Yay!  I hate snow so much.

Ivy's back!

She arrived sporting the beautiful new scarf-

Her scrapbook was awesome! There were fliers and brochures from everywhere she went. Plus a Flash Drive of pictures and video Smiley

I just LOVE the tray and mug! Australian wildflowers! Cheesy

Chocolates.. these are the wrappers. Hubby got into the chocolates on his lunch break Wink

A pen, "drivers license", stickers, and awesome soaps that smell sooo good!

Hat pins, a spider pin that I adore, Aussie coins, tea towels, and a cool sticker Smiley

And Ivy brought home a friend!

Thank you so much Lunamione!

****************************************************************

01.10.2009

We went to...

Northwest Trek!

We saw a TON of critters.. including ones that were especially requested by Lunamione -

Grizzly bears! Cheesy It was weird for me to see them in "captivity" but Esme-Alice was impressed Smiley
preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '___________________________________________________________________________________')

Today we tried to go to Northwest Trek but it was closed because of ice and snow Sad

So we went to Mt Rainier National Park!

The sign as we entered the brand-new visitors center-

Esme-Alice checking out Rainier from the top floor of the center -

Outside one of the lodge buildings at Paradise (you can barely see Esme-Alice on top of the snow berm)-

A camp robber that was checking us out. Esme-Alice wanted to say hi but I was worried he would take off with her!

We ran my 4 year old niece home to Eastern Washington during a break in the stormy weather today. Esme-Alice posed in Snoqualmie Pass -

We had our first snow of the year tonight and Esme-Alice celebrated by making snow angels  Cheesy

November 30th 2008

Friday morning at 5am we left for Forks, WA. We stayed overnight at the awesome Olympic Suites Hotel and then the next day we went to Port Angeles, then home. Like so -

It's crazy how much the town of Forks dotes on Twilighters. But then, I can really see how much $$ this has brought to the town. We couldn't walk two steps without tripping over a Twilighter... and that was on a Friday morning in the pouring rain.

Everywhere we went we saw signs like this -

Here is Esme- Alice hanging out on the welcome sign -

At the Forks Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center -

And on Bella's truck -

Dr Cullen's parking spot at Forks Hospital-

Checking out Hoh Rainforest-

and trying not to be blown away at First Beach in La Push -

And of course the original reason Forks was built was logging. Esme-Alice is posing at the loggers memorial -

In Port Angeles we stopped by my favorite natural foods store for snacks-

We also saw Bella Italia in Port Angeles-

preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '________________________________________________________')

November 24th 2008

We've had a crazy couple weeks so there will be more pictures soon.

It's been freezing at night so one of the first things we had to do after Esme-Alice arrived was chop firewood for the wood stove.

This past weekend we had to help my Grandma's move to a new place. We made three trips with our truck, each trip was over 150 miles  Tongue so Esme- Alice and our puppy Nala passed the time napping

preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', '________________________________________________________________________________')

November 6th

Ivy left today. She's wearing my best attempt at sewing a hat suitable for Australian summer.. (please don't laugh  Tongue )

Taking one last look at the sheep out the window-

In the box ready to be sealed up -

Reserved for Tapey and Hot Pants Lance

Lance is Here!

He came with a blankie, mustache wax, a cookie, a magic 8 ball and money
Then he met Filbert my visiting Gnome from London
Lance wanted to wax his Mustache but the wax melted on the trip here
Luckily I had some wax and fill up his jar for him

Then it was time to go to the PO and Wal-greens
He even donated some money
He didn't enjoy wearing the child safety belt
He bought some doogie cookies to try to get in good with my furbabies

At the PO he realized one of the boxes was Tapey and cut it open
They said a quick Hello to each other and shared a hug
Then he put the boxes in the drop box
We started on our way home but Lance was hungry

So we stopped at McDonalds
Once home he offered Riley a cookie
Riley gladly accepted
Then for some reason Lance said it was naked time.

That's been lance's day so far but I'm sure he'll be doing more crazy things later

Lance started out his day reclining
Then Riley joined him
What's that you say Lance?
Mika doesn't seem to care much for Lance

checking the mail for gifts I had to tell him we don't get mail on Sunday
Working on his tan
enjoying the fall colors
This spot reminded him of the wheat back home

He wanted to work out but he's to small
to small for the guitar too
then we did laundry
trying to wake the BF so they could play

Being naughty with jack
Trying on a mini Columbia hat
He likes it as a chair better
Super hungry from the drinking

We decided on Chinese food
then it was time to fold the laundry
for being good he got to play some Dr. Mario on Wii
Shower time!!!!

Here goes! Reserved for Watson and his trip in Arizona!
Watson arrived today! With tea and coco which we shall need to open all the boxes that came with him! And to do all of the 12 Days of Christmas stuff!

posing with boxes

and some supplies for wreaths

Today after a long wait at the post office sending the BIG box to Hollis we treated ourselves to Egee's again:)

And here's Watson with Kish's gift

he may have had too many beers in that picture!

And Watson picked out these for his mom for her tree

We are having a great time!

now Watson's waiting for me to go to Chatsy to say Hi to Celtic! (Mommy) and let her know he made it safe

Good thing Celtic sent Watson with a scarf! Brian locked us/me out of the themostast. We are in for a COLD night! It's set at 55. BRRRR!!! I'm sure Watson will feel right at home!

November 10th
Watson went to work today just to check it out! Here he is watching B-TV, which is the quarterly tape they make to tell us the "new" news at Bashas (boring)

He wanted to ride the bike but I thought it was to big for him

He made a couple friends this is Tim one of our cashiers, he made other friends and took a ride on the turntable but those pictures will have to wait till someone can explain to me how to make them smaller then 2M Cheesy

Here he is on the turntable! Buying sugar!

Making friends!

Told him to keep his eyes open for this guy! He won gold with Phelp's in the relay at the Olymics. He's one of our customers.

Well we are off to craft for the 12 Days of Christmas now! Lot's of work to be done!

Here we are making a wreath Watson & Ellie are picking out candies

Watson posing with finished wreath

Here's Watson getting Ellie ready for trip

Giving her last minute tips and a beer to calm her nerves
she even took Dramimine

Last good-byes to Ellie

This weekend Watson got to drive Brian's car!

Here he is shifting

He didn't care for the seat belt though

and I think Brian's driving made him nervous he asked for a ciggerate!

And here is Watson getting ready to enjoy an In and Out Burger! He was really excited about that! Too bad he was eyeing my buger!

Today we went to JoAnn's here's Watson with our loot!

After shopping we had to eat! Eegee's today! Yum!

Then we decorated the little tree that I put in my "office"

And now we craft more! and do laundry, sigh!

Here is the super giant package that I sent to my MIA partner Cocorific

Included is Lilac of course
- the winter hat and scarf I made her
- scrapbook (really wish I'd taken piccies of the inside of this Undecided)
- favourite cotswold (where I live, Gloucestershire in The Cotswolds) recipes book
- Beautiful Cotswolds 2009 calendar
- Cotswolds and Wales postcards
- Welsh lovespoon
- Animal stickers
- Cotswold tea towel
- cd of photos
- Daily Mail puzzle book
- 3-pack of Kinder eggs
- marshmallow flump
- Cadbury's creme egg
- Cadbury's mini eggs
- burgundy satiny tote bag made by me (below)

Super Monkey all snuggled up in his sleeping bag and ready for his long journey!!

Wed 12th Nov 08 - Lilac arrives
Yey, Lilac has arrived in super speedy time, and check out her sweet sleeping bag and pillow!  Mmm she brought some yummy hostess goodies!  I don't like nuts so Mr Loops tucked into the choccie bar, and I've already scoffed one of the yummy hot chocolates that Lilac brought!

Lilac is really shy and her arrival was a little overwhelming, so she found a couple of places that she found comforting, by some of my snuggly fabrics and with one of our wifi bunnies.

After she'd settled in a bit she offered to help me chop up some veg so I could make a nice thai sweet potato, chicken and chilli soup for tea, yum.  And after tea we did a little crafting which made her feel much more at home.

Hugsie has volunteered to stay with Lilac on her first night under a foreign roof Smiley

Thurs 13th Nov 08
Lilac spent her first full day in England by coming to the office with me.  She found it understandably boring sat amongst my desk junk but she enjoyed watching the fishies, and when we got home I let her play WiiFit with Gary the Snail!

Sat 15th Nov 08 - Day out in Cardiff
Spent the weekend over in Wales for 2 days of Xmas shopping with my mates Jo (otherwise known as Poo Shoes) and Sammy.  On Saturday we went shopping in Xmassy Cardiff.

And as food is veeery important to us, we spent much of the day eating yummy food Grin  First off, lunch in O'Neills pub for blackened salmon salad.

Then stopping off for coffee to rest our weary feet and backs (we I had loooots and looooots of shopping bags!)

Then after the shops finally closed it was time for cocktails!!

And finally in Zizzi's restaurant waiting to have a food splurge after our tiring day!  See how drunken Jo thought it was fun to pretend to black pepper Lilac when she wasn't looking.

Sammy and Lilac impatiently waiting for our train back to Jo's house to arrive!

Sun 16th Nov 08 - More shopping!
Trip to discount outlet stores in Bridgend, and mooore food!  We managed to arrive before the stores had all opened, so started off with a coffee and cinnamon bun, yum.  And at lunch time Lilac and I shared the English speciality of fish and chips and mushy peas, mmmmm Grin

Wed 26th Nov 08 - BBC Good Food Show
Travelling from Cheltenham to Birmingham New Street on the train, Lilac took charge of the tickets as I attempted to paint my finger nails (and got most of it over my hands instead Roll Eyes) And then sitting between Mr Loops and Mr Sammy on the short train trip to Birmingham International

Our first stop of the day, the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) tasting session, yum yum yum!!!  I hadn't bought Lilac a separate ticket so she had to share my ales but I didn't mind as I came down with a bad cold that day and felt pretty poorly Sad Meeting the Town Crier chap that had been very loudly telling people about the campaign!

Later on in the day having a drink in the Guinness bar, Lilac is resting in the wine glass holder I made to wear to the show, and I at this point was starting to get the feverish shakes and shivers that lasted for the rest of the day, boo hoo  Embarrassed

Gratuitous Jamie Oliver shot that I snapped for Heffer Joo Bug (and any other fans  Wink) cos she loves him!

Tues 2nd Dec 08 - Decorating the Xmas Tree

Lilac helping myself, Hugsie, Gary the Snail and some of the Uglydolls to decorate the Xmas tree! Blurry shot of Lilac posing with the finished Xmas tree

Sat 6th Dec 08 - Reunion Xmas Day
We don't all get together very often during the year, but my Uni friends and I always manage to get together at my house for our own Xmas day with giant roastie meal and presents Grin  This year Sammy was invited also (she went to the same Uni as us but I met her since then)

On the way back to the car with our food shopping!

Getting a start on all the veg preparations. And helping Sammy to decorate some gingerbread men

Lilac in the middle, guarding my high piled plate of roastie goodness, and from left to right: Poo Shoes, Sammy, McFly and Lemmy. It's very lucky that Lilac likes veggies as we had 6 different veg as well as the turkey, yorkshire puds, stuffing and wee willie winkies Grin

I got lots of pressies, including 2 new mini Uglydolls, yey.  And both Lilac and I went to bed completely stuffed full of food and drinks!

Fri 12th Dec 08 - Visiting Heffer Joo Bug and Lotte!!!
My good mate Heffer Joo Bug invited Lilac, myself and Mr Loops over to have some good food and drink with Lotte, herself and Mr Heff.  Lilac and Lotte hit it off straight away and can't wait to get together again! Sneaky Lilac drinking my wine whilst Mr Heff pretends (I hope!) to take a slice out of Lotte!  Shocked

The LV's and their hosts!! Evidence to prove that naughty Lilac and Lotte were hogging all the choccies!

Sat 13th Dec 08 - Mmmm snoooker
Yey, Mr Loops and I love snooker and the UK Championships started on TV today.  Lilac sat down for a while to watch some with Ugly Ghost and Bush Baby but I don't think we've quite got her hooked on it yet!

Some final photos of Lilac before she was sent home last month.  In front of her host house:

And at Bingo with some friends to celebrate my mate Lemmys birthday!
