Hunni arrived today!! And brought so many treats with her!!
Unfortunately i'm a little under the weather so didn't take any detailed photos, but don't worry I will!

Here is Hunni with all the goodies she brought.

An adorable Canadian passport, cookies (in the white bags), her bio, a letter B cell phone charm - which matches the 'H' she sports on her handbag! and contract. Oops I almost forgot the best bit! Hunni also brought a cd with her THEME SONG on it!! I'm 99% sure that Hunni is the only LV with a theme song!!

Delicious cookies!! Well i'm guessing they are (don't they look so yummy??!). I haven't tried them yet because they are just soooo pretty! How can I possibly eat a cookie that looks that good?! I've never put that much effort into making cookies!

Okay we're off to have some chocolate pudding. xx

NOVEMBER 23rd
Sorry for the lack of updates. We've had a fairly dull week. Lots of tv, baking and arts and crafts with the kids

But today Hunni and I went into NYC. Had a lot of fun, but it was sooooooo cold!

Here she is at Rockefeller Centre. The Christmas angels are back!


And the Christmas tree has been put up. Here it is getting ready to be decorated.

Gus came home after a fantastic Christmas break spent in Canada. I love his scrapbook - it's so clever. I love that i'm building up a shelf of photo albums for Gus. I can't wait until next round!!

Here is Gus with all his things. Everything is wonderful but i think his hat and scarf are the CUTEST things i have ever seen!!

He came home with so many things: scrapbook, SMARTIES (i havent had these since i left home. Thankyou!!), a handmade Toronto jumper - adorable!, a xmas ornament, a xmas stocking filled with lollies and mac and cheese- our favourite food!


Sorry for the terrible photo - it doesnt do justice to this amazing ornament. THANKYOU! Christmas ornaments are my favourite things to collect!

Ivy's back!

She arrived sporting the beautiful new scarf-

We went to...



Northwest Trek!

We saw a TON of critters.. including ones that were especially requested by Lunamione -



Grizzly bears! It was weird for me to see them in "captivity" but Esme-Alice was impressed

Today we tried to go to Northwest Trek but it was closed because of ice and snow

So we went to Mt Rainier National Park!

We ran my 4 year old niece home to Eastern Washington during a break in the stormy weather today. Esme-Alice posed in Snoqualmie Pass -

November 30th 2008

Friday morning at 5am we left for Forks, WA. We stayed overnight at the awesome Olympic Suites Hotel and then the next day we went to Port Angeles, then home. Like so -


It's crazy how much the town of Forks dotes on Twilighters. But then, I can really see how much $$ this has brought to the town. We couldn't walk two steps without tripping over a Twilighter... and that was on a Friday morning in the pouring rain.

Everywhere we went we saw signs like this -

November 24th 2008

We've had a crazy couple weeks so there will be more pictures soon.

It's been freezing at night so one of the first things we had to do after Esme-Alice arrived was chop firewood for the wood stove.



This past weekend we had to help my Grandma's move to a new place. We made three trips with our truck, each trip was over 150 miles  so Esme- Alice and our puppy Nala passed the time napping

November 6th

Ivy left today. She's wearing my best attempt at sewing a hat suitable for Australian summer.. (please don't laugh  )

Lance is Here!


He came with a blankie,mustache wax, a cookie, a magic 8 ball and money
Then he met Filbert my visiting Gnome from London
Lance wanted to wax his Mustache but the wax melted on the trip here
Luckily I had some wax and fill up his jar for him


Then it was time to go to the PO and Wal-greens
He even donated some money
He didn't enjoy wearing the child safety belt
He bought some doogie cookies to try to get in good with my furbabies


At the PO he realized one of the boxes was Tapey and cut it open
They said a quick Hello to each other and shared a hug
Then he put the boxes in the drop box
We started on our way home but Lance was hungry


So we stopped at McDonalds
Once home he offered Riley a cookie
Riley gladly accepted
Then for some reason Lance said it was naked time.

That's been lance's day so far but I'm sure he'll be doing more crazy things later

November 10th
Watson went to work today just to check it out! Here he is watching B-TV, which is the quarterly tape they make to tell us the "new" news at Bashas (boring)

He wanted to ride the bike but I thought it was to big for him

He made a couple friends this is Tim one of our cashiers, he made other friends and took a ride on the turntable but those pictures will have to wait till someone can explain to me how to make them smaller then 2M

Well we are off to craft for the 12 Days of Christmas now! Lot's of work to be done!

Wed 12th Nov 08 - Lilac arrives
Yey, Lilac has arrived in super speedy time, and check out her sweet sleeping bag and pillow!  Mmm she brought some yummy hostess goodies!  I don't like nuts so Mr Loops tucked into the choccie bar, and I've already scoffed one of the yummy hot chocolates that Lilac brought!


Lilac is really shy and her arrival was a little overwhelming, so she found a couple of places that she found comforting, by some of my snuggly fabrics and with one of our wifi bunnies.


After she'd settled in a bit she offered to help me chop up some veg so I could make a nice thai sweet potato, chicken and chilli soup for tea, yum.  And after tea we did a little crafting which made her feel much more at home.


Hugsie has volunteered to stay with Lilac on her first night under a foreign roof




Thurs 13th Nov 08
Lilac spent her first full day in England by coming to the office with me.  She found it understandably boring sat amongst my desk junk but she enjoyed watching the fishies, and when we got home I let her play WiiFit with Gary the Snail!



Sat 15th Nov 08 - Day out in Cardiff
Spent the weekend over in Wales for 2 days of Xmas shopping with my mates Jo (otherwise known as Poo Shoes) and Sammy.  On Saturday we went shopping in Xmassy Cardiff.



And as food is veeery important to us, we spent much of the day eating yummy food   First off, lunch in O'Neills pub for blackened salmon salad.


Then stopping off for coffee to rest our weary feet and backs (we I had loooots and looooots of shopping bags!)



Then after the shops finally closed it was time for cocktails!!



And finally in Zizzi's restaurant waiting to have a food splurge after our tiring day!  See how drunken Jo thought it was fun to pretend to black pepper Lilac when she wasn't looking.

Sun 16th Nov 08 - More shopping!
Trip to discount outlet stores in Bridgend, and mooore food!  We managed to arrive before the stores had all opened, so started off with a coffee and cinnamon bun, yum.  And at lunch time Lilac and I shared the English speciality of fish and chips and mushy peas, mmmmm



Wed 26th Nov 08 - BBC Good Food Show
Travelling from Cheltenham to Birmingham New Street on the train, Lilac took charge of the tickets as I attempted to paint my finger nails (and got most of it over my hands instead ) And then sitting between Mr Loops and Mr Sammy on the short train trip to Birmingham International

 

Our first stop of the day, the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) tasting session, yum yum yum!!!  I hadn't bought Lilac a separate ticket so she had to share my ales but I didn't mind as I came down with a bad cold that day and felt pretty poorly Meeting the Town Crier chap that had been very loudly telling people about the campaign!

 

Later on in the day having a drink in the Guinness bar, Lilac is resting in the wine glass holder I made to wear to the show, and I at this point was starting to get the feverish shakes and shivers that lasted for the rest of the day, boo hoo

Sat 6th Dec 08 - Reunion Xmas Day
We don't all get together very often during the year, but my Uni friends and I always manage to get together at my house for our own Xmas day with giant roastie meal and presents   This year Sammy was invited also (she went to the same Uni as us but I met her since then)

On the way back to the car with our food shopping!



Getting a start on all the veg preparations. And helping Sammy to decorate some gingerbread men

I got lots of pressies, including 2 new mini Uglydolls, yey.  And both Lilac and I went to bed completely stuffed full of food and drinks!


Fri 12th Dec 08 - Visiting Heffer Joo Bug and Lotte!!!
My good mate Heffer Joo Bug invited Lilac, myself and Mr Loops over to have some good food and drink with Lotte, herself and Mr Heff.  Lilac and Lotte hit it off straight away and can't wait to get together again! Sneaky Lilac drinking my wine whilst Mr Heff pretends (I hope!) to take a slice out of Lotte!

Sat 13th Dec 08 - Mmmm snoooker
Yey, Mr Loops and I love snooker and the UK Championships started on TV today.  Lilac sat down for a while to watch some with Ugly Ghost and Bush Baby but I don't think we've quite got her hooked on it yet!
