So, I waited until 8:00 the night before Halloween to finally start my costume and I was forced to stay up the entire night in order to finish it. While I am really happy with the result, but I know that if I wouldn't have procrastinated so badly, I would have embellished it a lot more.

The wings are made out of a wire hanger frame covered in felt. I wasn't strong enough to bend the hangers into shape, so my boyfriend kissed his precious sleep goodbye and stayed up to help. Smiley

Anyways, here it is as my costume.

And now it is retired on my wall.

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

three years ago, I made the wings of a monarch butterfly for Halloween and they still hang on the wall in my sewing room. Your wings are very nice.

That is really beautiful, especially for saying you only worked on it one night

Lovely! They're perfect as a piece of wall art, as well.
