And here's how I made my scarf [which I love!]...

First I separated all the yarn...

Then I put them into three piles [I wanted to make sure everything was distributed evenly]. I put all the yarns together, tied a knot, and started braiding.

My table leg held the knot down and I kinda bunched the ends together and braided.

And here are the results!!

[This shows almost the whole length. It wraps around my neck twice and hangs down right about to my waist.]

And here's me very happy with my beautiful jewel-toned Rapunzel scarf!

Thanks so much to all the ladies who I tried yarn with and thanks again to myklia to guiding me in this organizing thing!

I think I'm stealing the table leg idea next time.

Your scarf came out incredibly beautiful.

Haha. Go ahead and steal. I was trying to think of something heavy enough to hold it down.

And thanks. Its all the wonderful yarns I got sent. I love them!

Who's ready for round 6??  Cheesy

Here's my scarf.  I think I braided it too tight because I only got it to wrap around once and I had to cut off some extra ends cause one end is always longer than the other and really uneven.  I do love it super bunches though! Smiley It's totally soft.

I'm awesome. Smiley

I have vintage yarn that I would like to give to someone! Please send a message if you'd like to obtain it.  I have lots!

Your scarf is really beautiful.

Mine usually come to that length.  This last one was a little shorter than my previous ones.

please excuse her for the day, its just the way the medication makes her...

myklia- If you used alot more stands in your scarf this time I expect it would make each braid use more and the overall scarf shorter.

I don't know if that makes sense but I know what I meant anyway....

I think my cat is sending me subliminal messages...

Totally makes sense and I did use a lot more strands.  I hadn't thought about it, but I think you are totally right.

I just want people to still keep an eye on this gallery.  One of the people in Space Jewels had a situation beyond their control and won't be able to send until later in the week, so after that we should see more scarves.  I'm not sure that everyone who has received all their yarns have posted pictures.  Hopefully I'm wrong (not really able to check right now), but hopefully we'll have more pics soon.

I've received the last of my yarn. YAY!

On the left we have some wonderful textures from Elensule. In the middle are some very pretty colours from wiseowl. And on the right are some funky yarns from pinupmommy.

Thanks ladies!

Off I go to my craft room to play with pieces of yarn!
