Hi all,  I have needed to swim through DC numbers to update everyone in the Space Jewels as best as possible.  Three of you now have feedback.  Check the first post to make sure everything is ok.

I made mine last night, and will post as soon as I can.  It turned out awesome! I really like how all the eyelash I got looks, but my next one will be eyelash-free just for comparison.  I actually had kind of a hard time with mine- that was a lot of yarn wrangling. Do any experienced rapunzel-makers have any tips for us newbies?  I learned:
1) have someone available to hold the other end (all my chairs have slats too wide to hold the knot)
2) trim both ends before braiding so they are even; straggling ends make a big knotty mess
3) put the cats in the bathroom before starting!

I made mine last night, and will post as soon as I can.  It turned out awesome! I put together the scarf by myself (I don't really have anyone around to help me). 
*I first divide all my yarns into three sections. 
*With each section, I make one end even up with all the yarns, this means the end will be all over the place for the time being.
*I run my fingers through each section to make sure all the yarn lays straight (while still keeping the one end even).
*I start off laying all three sections on the floor side by side and then take end where the yarns are lined up evenly and knot all three sections together at one end.
*I then pick up the knot, where I'll start braiding my scarf, being careful to keep all three sections below it separate.
*Start braiding.  Every so often I pull one section out of the resulting tangle and then continue braiding.
* I braid down to the shorted thread, then I knot that end.  This end some of the yarns will be super long and I just simply take my scissors and trim it.

I am NOT the best describer.  Perhaps the next time I make one, I'll take pictures of the process.  I'm sorry if it doesn't completely make sense.

That sounds more or less like what I did, except I trimmed the second end even before starting the braid (and then trimmed both ends again as the very last step). For some reason I seemed to really need tension to get the braid going- I tried using a chair, a door, and my foot, but those did not work for me, so I had to enlist DH. I am notably not very coordinated, though!
