Please keep this thread craft/photography-related -- thankie!

This photo was taken entirely on a whim tonight.  mr.sweets4ever and baby.sweets4ever were cuddled up on the couch together and I couldn't miss the opportunity of the hands in this position.

It was taken with my digital Canon EOS 20D w/ stock lens, 18-55mm.  Edited with Adobe Photoshop CS3 for spot color, cropping and resizing.

Click here for a larger, slightly less distorted version. Smiley

We packed my photography tents and lighting away when we started nesting/repainting the house, but hopefully I'll get it all setup again this week.  I can't wait to do a newborn "shoot" of our little one!

absolutely beautiful.

Thank you so much!  I'm really happy with how it turned out (and that I managed to get upstairs, grab the camera and run back down w/o him moving, or me tripping/killing myself Cheesy).

Yup, that pretty much sums it up! I don't think the positioning of head-in-hand and tiny hand on big hand could be any better, his face isn't blocked by any limbs  Smiley.

This is the kind of shot I want to recreate someday when I have a better camera. And access to a baby.

That is the kind of wonderful photograph that I always wanted to take of my newborns.  The hands of both are positioned so well.  He's adorable.

An excellent shot! The editing is just enough, too. Love black and white of children.

Babies present so many wonderful pictures as they grow, but as newborns you only have a small window when they are this tiny. Capturing them before they get past this point is so special.

A friend of mine does photography, and babies/pregnant women are one of her specialties. Here are a couple along similar lines.

Thanks!!  Hubby didn't even realize what I was taking a picture of until after I showed him on the preview screen.  They really set up a great shot for me, though! Smiley

That is absolutely beautiful. What a sweet pose. I like how you left the orange and green on his onesie but the rest of it is black and white.
