Peg Bundy: for the love of bon bons

first of all I would like to give mad, mad, mad props to all the entries in this month's craft challenge, there is some completely amazing work on this thread. If my heart and soul weren't in my own home-made costume I assure you I wouldn't touch the hem of these ghouly, kooky garments.
and PLEASE oh PLEASE excuse the party pics, my camera broke on wednesday so I've had to rely on the kindness of my friend's flickr accounts

things I made:
- the v-neck shirt
- the leopard leggings

things I pimped:
- the wig (it looked NOTHING like Peggy Bundy when I started), my VERY FIRST EVER attempt at wig cutting and styling
- my face with that sweet, sweet blue eyeshadow & pink lipstick
- my boobs (2 bras & chicken cutlet inserts, yowza!)

I would like to note that I didn't look at one reference picture NOR DID I google 'peg' or 'bundy' through this whole process, I just watched and loved that show so effing much that I knew what she looked like by heart.

LOVE IT! you did a great job! and i hope you won't mind if i express my jealousy of how great you look in skintight attire (so you used some cutlets... still!) i would totally do this next year if my chicken legs wouldn't make me look like a crack head. so it seems you are creative, smokin', have a photographic memory, and obviously have a great sense of humor. i hope my husband NEVER meets you good job!

this is such a good costume idea.  i was trying to convince my husband to go with me as al to my peg this year, but he said no.  ...and then i dressed as something-in-a-pink-wig.

hahahaha, yay! I'm' so glad you guys liked it! I'll admit this was probably one of the most fun costumes I've ever had.

My boyfriend couldn't be Al because his band played and he needed to wear a suit for a thing they were doing (& Saturday he had to work). I got many offers for Al after the fact, but I thought it would have been funnier to go with Ted Bundy. No takers on either, oh well!
