Pop Tab Tree Lamp

So we had to make a lamp for class using a recylced material...for some crazy reason, i chose to use pop tabs. It took forever, but here it is! I call it the tree hugger:

I used close to 500 tabs...and it took many many nights to do. They are woven with ribbon and wire to keep the shape. I listened to the entire Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld on audiobook while making it. I'm happy with it, but also glad it's done!

Your reason may have been crazy or not, but the result is awesome. I'm sure that it took quite a while to make, but I'm also sure that it was worth it. What a great way to recycle!
