I decided to go as snow white for Halloween, and instead of doing it the easy way (i.e. buying a costume or using a real pattern..) I decided to make it up as I went along.  Well, I don't have a ton of experience sewing and get frustrated really easily so this project was something of a nightmare.  I decided not to use a pattern because I couldn't find one I liked, so instead I combined pieces from a bunch of patterns that I had.  The bodice is one pattern that was supposed to be a shirt with no sleeves, the sleeves are from another pattern, and the skirt is from yet another pattern.  On top of that, each piece had to be modified (the red inserts and some zipper issues with the bodice, and the skirt needed to be shortened)  Also, this fabric frays like no other, and I was a little hasty with the sewing so there was A LOT of seam ripping.  Half of my room is covered in blue and gold frays from this fabric.  Anyway, long story short I finished it about ten minutes before I went out on Halloween.  Oh, i also covered a headband in left over red fabric and added the bow on top.

the finished product

My cat Cheshire, helping with sewing. (this cat will have nothing to do with me unless I'm sewing or doing homework, then she lays right in the middle of whatever I'm doing)

My bff with her costume.

I ended up taking the stockings off, cause well, they looked a little skanky

Anyway, that's my entry and I'm pretty proud of it despite what a pain in the @$$ it was.
