I love this hat!  I tried doing some cable stitches once and failed miserably.  I need to work up the courage to try it again.  I think matching mittens would be so cute but maybe a little too tricky.  The colors in your hat look gorgeous together. Smiley

ok, I tried it... and I like the result, but I know I did something wrong with the pattern  Tongue I didn't understand some steps, so I just made it up as I went

it's a doll-sized hat  Smiley I hope next time I manage to understand everything properly

Cute hat.  You may not have followed a pattern (who ever really does?) but it came out great.

Great hat and thanks for the pattern.  I made one for myself and I think I'll make a few for Christmas gifts.  I'll upload photos when I can.   Smiley

That is fabulous! I don't wear hats, normally, but I would so wear one with this stitch. Now... what yarn should I use??

I love your BJD (and her hat) it looks so adorable on her!

Any worsted weight yarn will work, though the pattern is better suited to "smooth" yarns as fluffy or fuzzy ones obscure the lattice stitches.

Sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to a scarf pattern, but it just wasn't feasible. The pattern works up really thick which is great for a hat, but not for a scarf, plus it's one sided, and when doing it flat it pinches the edges in on every lattice row, so it looked pretty horrid. Sad
